The Stephen Ministry is also called the Stephen Series, which includes a complete system for training and organizing laypeople to provide one-to-one Christian care to hurting people in and around your congregation.
Through the Stephen Series congregations are provided with training, resources and ongoing support to organize and equip a team of lay caregivers, Stephen Ministers.
Stephen Ministers are trained to provide confidential, Christ-centered care and support to those experiencing grief, divorce, cancer, job loss, loneliness, disability, relocation and many other challenges you may encounter through life.
Stephen Ministries, based in St. Louis, Missouri, has helped more than 11,000 congregations implement Stephen Ministry since 1975. These congregations represent more than 150 denominations from all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces and 23 other countries.
Through Stephen Ministries Congregations can work together as Pastor, Laypeople and those in need.
