The First Presbyterian Children's & Youth Director is an essential part of our ministry team who works with, coordinates, encourages, recruits and mentors youths within our community as they grow in their knowledge and understanding of their relationship with God through Jesus Christ. The Director's many responsibilities include:
Planning and implementing programs for the youth and children of our church.
Planning, leading, and participating in youth meetings at designated times.
Planning, leading, and participating in youth and children's activities at other times, including in-house activities, trips, mission trips, camps (including Triennium, General Assembly, Mo Ranch, etc.),
Planning special activities at the church (including Vacation Bible School and Trunk or Treat) or other activities within the community.
Organizing activities to recruit children and youth to participate with our children and youth groups.
Organizing and encouraging parents and adults to support the children and youth of the church.
The youth of FPC hold the keys to the future of our church, our community and our world at large. Our director, here at First Presbyterian Church, plays an important role in guiding and mentoring the youth members of our church community!
